Blitz stores information about high-school athletes, including minors. This page says exactly what we hold, who can see it, and how to get it removed. Plain English, no lawyer-speak.

Who we are
Blitz is operated by Kevin Copeland ("we", "us"). Reach us at support@blitzscouting.com.
A program (a 7on7 team, club, or coaching staff) uses Blitz to run its recruiting board. The program decides which athletes go on its board and what it records about them. We provide and host the software.
What we store
- Athlete information entered by a program's coaches or submitted by an athlete at a tryout: name, position, class year, height and weight, school, jersey number, photo, and links to public profiles (MaxPreps, Hudl, Rivals, Twitter/X, Instagram).
- Contact details — an athlete's phone number and a parent or guardian's contact, when a coach enters them.
- Coaching records — evaluations, notes, and a log of contact with the athlete. These are the program's internal working notes.
- Statistics collected from public sources (MaxPreps) and stats a program's coaches record at its own games.
- Film a program uploads, and the clips saved from it.
- Access codes for coaches and players, and — if a device opts in — a browser push-notification subscription.
We do not sell any of it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with other programs. A program can only ever see its own board.

Recruiting links — the important part
A coach can create a shareable link (blitzscouting.com/r/…) to show an athlete to college
recruiters. Anyone who has that link can open the page without a password. The link contains a
long random token, is not listed in search engines, and cannot be guessed — but it can be forwarded.
The page shows: the athlete's name, position, class year, height and weight, school, photo, the clips a coach has starred, statistics, public ratings and college offers, his public Hudl and social media links, and the program's contact details.
The page never shows: the athlete's phone number, a parent's contact details, coaches' evaluations, coaches' notes, the contact log, or any unstarred film.
A coach can revoke a link at any time, which immediately stops the page loading for everyone. If you want a link revoked, ask the coach who sent it, or email us.
Athletes under 18
Most athletes on Blitz are minors. Programs are responsible for having the appropriate permission from an athlete and their parent or guardian before adding them, and before sharing a recruiting link.
Blitz is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has been added, email us and we will delete the record.
Parents and guardians: you can ask at any time to see what we hold about your child, to correct it, or to have it deleted — email support@blitzscouting.com. We will also tell the program that we did so.
How long we keep it
- Board data stays until a program deletes it. Deleting an athlete removes his profile, notes and saved clips.
- Automatic backups of a board are kept for 30 days, then overwritten.
- Uploaded film stays until a program deletes the session — except film kept alive by a saved highlight, which is removed once that highlight is deleted.
- If a program stops using Blitz, we will delete its data on request.
Where it lives, and security
Data is hosted in the United States on Railway. Access to a program's board requires a code; athlete portal codes are restricted at the server to that athlete's own information; and coach and athlete access can be revoked at any time by the program.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting athlete information, we will notify affected programs promptly.
Analytics and tracking
We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics. When someone opens a recruiting link, we record the time and a broad device type ("phone", "computer") so the coach can see the profile was opened. We deliberately do not record IP addresses or identify the viewer.
Other services we use
- Railway — hosting and storage.
- Resend — sending the weekly email brief to a program's coaches.
- MaxPreps, Rivals/On3 — public sources we read statistics and ratings from. We send them no information about you.
- Push notifications are delivered through your browser's own service (Apple, Google, Mozilla) if you turn them on.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects what we collect or who can see it, we will update the date at the top and tell programs using Blitz.
